Cloud storage syncing service comparison chart

Within hours, both Microsoft and Google made big announcements within the increasingly crowded cloud storage/syncing market. And very timingly, the Verge has done a very thorough rundown of most, if not all, available syncing services that comes with free storage. Go check it out in all its glory to find out what service might fit your needs.

Microsoft has its own comparison chart where Skydrive naturally comes out on top, but the service actually holds its own in this third party comparison as well. I’ve been using Dropbox as my go to syncing service for a couple of years now, but I’m very tempted by some of the features that Dropbox is lacking, such as multiple folder syncing.

Google Drive? I’m not completely sold, but I will definitely give it a run. If it turns out to be a smooth, well functioning service, it could be a rather big thing in this market. Think about all the Gmail users that don’t use, or maybe even never heard of Dropbox before. Many of them will probably check out Google Drive, which could save many from the nuisance of USB sticks.
